The Babar Rescue Centre celebrates its 1st Birthday today!
A year ago today we rescued our first resident, and by the end of this month, with 3 more arrivals heading our way, the rescue centre will be home to 22 elephants.

Advance warning – Arthur (CT) and Queen Celeste (CT) will be joining the centre in due course. Once all travel arrangements are completed, we hope that they have a safe journey and arrive before the end of our Birthday month!
Some regular visitors to the website may have already noticed that the group photo on the homepage now links to a short photo movie of all the BRC residents.
Hopefully this will be the first of many photo movies….watch this space.
The resident handyman has been busy making our residents feel right at home, using his woodworking expertise to create some wonderful pieces of furniture.

The Reception Centre yesterday welcomed King Babar (TN).
After a super fast journey from Franklin, Tennessee, like a jack out of a box, he burst out of his transporter into the fresh spring air.
Although unclothed on arrival, the kind lady at the reception soon sorted him out with some temporary clothes.
